Wool is a natural miracle fiber. It is the only fiber that adjusts to individual skin temperature, permitting you to stay cool when it's hot and warm when it's cold - an essential part of a perfect night's sleep. Wool-fill retains its superior qualities wet or dry. Unlike synthetics, that flatten out with wear, wools crimpiness has a natural resiliency which gives it the ability to naturally spring back to its original size and shape. Wool-fill outperforms synthetics such as polyester fiber fill.

In scientific tests, wool recovered 95% of its original thickness when compressed in comparison to the 67% to 79% of synthetic substitutes.  Wool is an extremely durable fiber.  In fact the oldest carpet in the world, which dates back to the fifth century B.C. was made from wool.  Wool can be bent over 20,000 times without breaking. Silk will break after 1,800 bends and rayon after only 75.

Wool has the ability to absorb large amounts of natural body moisture which can help sufferers of flashes or night sweats stay comfortable. Wool naturally absorbs this moisture keeping you comfortable without any feeling of dampness. Compared to synthetics, which can absorb moisture equal to 4% or less their weight, wool can absorb up to 30% without feeling cold or clammy.  Synthetic fillings and coverings do not absorb moisture, resulting in hot and cold fluctuations in body temperature throughout the night. This could be disturbing your sleep more than you realize, causing you to wake up less than well rested.

Lanolin is a natural element in wool that not only resists liquids but also guards against dust mites, mold and mildew. These attributes are of significant benefit to allergy and asthma sufferers.

For safety, wool is excellent for bedding because it is naturally flame resistant due to its moisture content plus the protein keratin. Wool requires a higher temperature to ignite than other natural fibers. When aflame, wool burns slowly, smoldering and charring but giving off little heat. Other fibers ignite and burn readily even after the flame is taken away.  In the event of a fire, man made fibers like polyester and acrylics actually melt and stick to skin.

100% Wool is absorbent, soft, resilient, durable, temperature adjusting, dust mite, mold, mildew and naturally flame resistant.
